A Story about Charlie
Once upon a time there was a man in a bottle. His name was Charlie. His birthday is on 23rd November. He was born at Gartnavel General Hospital Glasgow in 1975. He was sleeping in the bottle and he couldn't get out. Faz and Charlie were good friends. The Scottish people were marching in the city of Edinburgh in December 2015. Faz and Charlie were playing bagpipes in the parade. The parade started and all the visitors came to watch them. The parade started at lunchtime. They played Scottish classical songs. Faz and Charlie were marching on the grounds with his friends at Glasgow Church. Once the parade had finished they went to have lunch. Charlie saw something shiny on the ground. It was a bottle! It had smoke inside it and there was music coming from it.
Charlie got curious and wanted to look inside it. Charlie opened the bottle. Suddenly the smoke came out and pulled him inside the bottle. His friend Faz tried to save him and pull him out. But he couldn’t. Then he tried to break the bottle. He couldn’t. Charlie was very frightened and started hitting the bottle. But the bottle did not break. He was very sad. He found some bagpipes inside the bottle. He started playing the bagpipes. His friend Faz ran to the church to get help. But no one was there. Everyone had gone home. Then Faz took the bottle home to his Dad who was a magician. He asked his Dad to help him to get Charlie out of bottle. Dad said some magic words and blew into the bottle and suddenly the bottle broke and Charlie was free. The only thing was Charlie was still very small. So they had to make him big. Faz’s dad made a special potion and made him drink it. Charlie drank it and got back to his normal size. He was so happy and that he started singing and dancing. Charlie and Faz played bagpipes every Sunday. They lived happily in Glasgow.
